As a resin producer you need to meet national and international standards and prove performance of your pipe and fitting materials. In the development phase you optimize different key properties depending on the intended applications. Examples could be resistance to slow crack growth (SCG), resistance to rapid crack propagation (RCP) and thermal stability. Long-term hydrostatic strength is a key property for materials intended for pressurized pipe systems. Pressure tests need to be carried out. Evaluations according to different standards are performed. Objectives and requirements are followed-up and controlled throughout the project. Successful classification of the material at different temperatures are needed e.g. minimum required strength (MRS), categorized required strength (CRS) and hydrostatic design basis (HDB).
