Pipeson

DOW Europe GmbH, the manufacturer of the successful DOWLEX™ resins used for hot water applications, is one of the users.
“Before Pipeson Analyzer^®, I often used Excel to study pressure test data. That was very time consuming with lots of non-productive hours wasted. Today, I just import hoop stress data from Excel into Pipeson Analyzer^® where I quickly get the full picture of the results. The graph and summary tables form a solid base for decision making in the project. I also use the software to make preliminary lifetime predictions based on a limited set of data. For the pipe materials, for which we already have performed full ISO 9080 evaluations, we use the software to predict the expected lifetimes at different service conditions standardized and non-standardized.

The principal value in my opinion is time and cost efficiency. The data available in the Pipeson files include evaluations, which allow for quick reporting. I take the resulting tables and graphs directly from the software and use them for my presentations. I really appreciate the user friendliness and the automatic functions such as the Create Report Editor feature. At Dow we are building up our internal Pipeson file library, where we have all the data in one place, accessible to all Dow staff. When we get questions regarding lifetime predictions, we are able to provide the calculations much more quickly.

Pipeson Analyzer^® has been a small but worthwhile investment so far and I am looking forward to the coming
future functionality.“
